From the Executive Director

Welcome to the Queensland Catholic Education Commission

The Queensland Catholic Education Commission (QCEC) supports Queensland’s 313 Catholic schools who educate more than 158,00 students and employ more than 22,000 staff.

Our role is a state-wide strategic one focused on advocacy, liaison with state and federal governments and other education stakeholders, and the administration of government funding to Catholic School Authorities.

With one in five students in Queensland attending a Catholic school, it is important that our sector retains a strong voice in the discussion of all education issues.

QCEC is dedicated to ensuring that all families who choose a Catholic education for their children can have access to high quality, affordable, faith-based education, responsive to the needs and challenges of contemporary Australian society.
