Marymount Primary School, was founded as Infant Saviour Catholic Primary School in 1935. The founding religious order was the Sisters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart. They remained until the Second World War. The school re-opened in 1953 with Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception who continued to the new site in 1974.
